The Microclimate Project begins with wonder at everything science has to surprise us with. It begins with the recognition that scientists and creative writers alike thrive on such wonder: on imagination, experimentation, and sharing the results of such wonder.

Finding science to share as a micro, whether prose or in poetic lines, involves two steps. First, finding ideas science has discovered and that you’d be excited to communicate to others – perhaps even feel are urgent to communicate. Second, taking time to understand and verify the science, to make sure what you’re keen to have others know meets scientists’ expectations of reliability.
